    Cause for Concern?

    Little background info..

Fiancée and I met at college, in our late twenties, home owners, and wage slaves. Not too recently my fiancee made a bonehead decision and got a DUI; thus making me her chaperon. To help pay for the lawyer, courts, and fines she tends bar on the weekends in a part of town I rather her not, but she assured me all was well.

Last weekend she closed bar and ended up getting out a lot earlier than expected so she phone me from inside the bar still for a ride. It's about a twenty minute drive to said bar. While pulling in, I see that she is waiting outside the bar in an empty parking lot and some guy is with her which I initially thought was a fellow co-worker being a gentlemen. It was the furthest thing from it. As he hears my car, he looks back, and then shoves her hard to the ground and snatches her purse taking off on foot. I race towards her and jump out of the car. I quickly check on her, see that she is okay, and I tell her to remain in the car and to lock it. This all happens while scumbag is still insight. I managed to run down scumbag, take him to the ground, and errrrr... rough him up all while getting the purse back.

Now, while my girlfriend was in the car she phoned the police. They showed up within mere minutes and literally had to tear me off the gy. They knew this little jerkface by name and although he was arrested, he was taken off in the back of an ambulance. Police took my info and I had a feeling my burst of sudden rage would bite me in the kisser... Yesterday, the PD called me and notified me that the man suffered a broken nose, missing teeth, and a dislocated jaw. They also TOLD me that I need to come down and have a talk with them on Wednesday. When asked if I was in any trouble, the officer simply said all will be explained when I come down. Now, I am all for cooperating, but is there a chance that this guy pressed charges? Am I in danger of getting arrested when I go down? I already have a consolidation with a lawyer after work today, but I figure it wouldn't hurt to ask a uniformed officer

There's a CHANCE of just about anything. There's a chance of winning the lottery or of lightning striking. Nobody can predict the future. They may have assigned a detective to it, who just wants to ask you some simple followup. They may have SWAT geared up to break down your door. Who knows?

Am I in danger of getting arrested when I go down?

    See the answer above.

Listen to your lawyer. Do what they instruct.
