    Ticket Scams, NY,CT,MA?

To no avail, I've searched high & low...In person & online.

It's comforting that no one seems to think there's anything I should avoid when dealing online with these "brokers" in particular for tickets as long as they have a solid EBAY rep.
Considering I'm doing this for my Mother's B-day, I figured I should be sure that before I spend an exorbitant amount on tickets, I don't wind up letting her down by a con artist.

Are there any online purchasing issues for MSG, Foxwoods, or Boston?- As I just want to be sure in this case especially and figured it wouldn't hurt to double check.

    Thank you-

    Tim

I can speak for MSG. There are a lot of street-level peddlers selling counterfeit tickets. They buy one pair of good tix and duplicate them many times. The first person to get in the gate will get seats, everyone else will get rejected because the barcode has already been scanned.

This type of scam could very well be going on online. Stick to the legit sites like ticketmaster. If you're going with a seller with a good rep, then it's your call.

Stick to StubHub and Official web sites for the venue.

I've purchased concert tickets myself 1 or 2 times on ebay, but I agree, stick with stubhub to get a more secure of a deal.

I mean, we're getting killed for these people and they don't even appreciate it. They think it's a big joke.

I appreciate everyone's thoughts on this & ParadeRest you bring up an interesting point. Me being the avid "concert goer-party hard type"-(Completely joking, for a second I forgot you haven't met me in person) -That would haven't even crossed my mind.

But yes, I'm up very early, trying to find some on one of the mentioned sites.
-I'm the type to save & never could justify spending so much for a rather short lived experience but this show seems like an incredible gift, not that I could tolerate any of the mall cart sellers trying to get something different. -Only 1 months break

(I'd mention the show I decided on if it wasn't for this being public),lol, as it is one of the ebay sellers that actually had minimal , maybe 50 or so, positive sales just gave me a song and dance about having to meet me in person at the venue, when something's a gift....especially costly, and my Mother?

Certainly can't be expected to chance that.
Sorry for the ramble-I'll look at the sites some more, possibly catch some more sleep-lol

    Thanks for all the help-
    Tim
