Hi all,
I wanted to know if its legal to gamble in your own home or friends home as long if the house is not taking a cut and all money is given out or maybe just making a football bet with a friend

You would need to specify state. In PA as long as "the house" doesn't keep proceeds it is legal.

In most states, it's legal as long as "the house" isn't getting a cut out of each pot. Friendly gambling games are usually okay.

Need a state, up to $500 dollar pot in my state is considered social gambling and permissable.

In NY its legal, public or private, as long as there's no cut taken, but also depending on the location.

Not to sound rude, but, it sounds like it is legal in most states (it is here as well) but my question is, why would it matter?? Are you doing something that would make the cops come to your house and all of a sudden bust you for your gambling game???? Again I am not trying to be rude just wondering!!!!!
