Hello
I've had the itch to join up with the local Fire Dept.
I was wondering if putting this on my resume' would help me along the lines of becoming a police officer.
any responses appreciated

I think an EMT is more beneficial than a fire fighter, but in some fire departments the firemen all have EMT training, so it would really depend. That's just my opinion though.

Why do it for resume experience when you can do it to give back to the community who served you growing up?

Your 'itch' to be a firefighter would not mitigate your friend's 'shroom' experimentation when it comes to law enforcement employment.

Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.
"Wrong door, buddy!"
Let no man's ghost say my training failed him.
Lol ok you got me, but im not an english major

Neither am I, but that doesn't excuse trash-talking about your straight A's when you can't even spell, capitalize and punctuate correctly. Excuses, excuses...
Carry on.

Lol, it wasn't meant to be "trash talking" more or less trying to show that there is dedication to my goals.

You should seriously consider sending a resume to the Fire Dept telling them you have an itch to be a police officer, and one the Police Dept telling them you have an itch to be a firefighter.
Don't be surprised if you get a letter back suggesting you try some Gold Bond.
