Nobody's telling you not to apply at all, we're just telling you not to lie on your application.

My department would never hire you if you used cocaine once. It doesn't matter how many degrees you have, how many languages you speak, or what other kind of work experience you have. Other good local and state agencies also would not hire you, and you can forget about ever getting a job in federal LE. All that said, I do know that there are departments out there that will hire someone who has used cocaine. These departments hire people with less than stellar backgrounds because they are not good places to work for various reasons and cannot be all that selective in who they hire. So just understand that if you do find one of these agencies that will overlook your cocaine use then it's probably going to be a crappy one.

I think you are a jerk.

Here's a message I "responded" to you with, prior to your post on here.

Most that I have known of, were later fired because they are just a polished up turd. Not saying this is so in your case. But just stating it has happened.

Your biggest weapon is admitting your faults, coming clean about everything and going from there.

A huge part of this job is integrity. Last thing you want is defending your skeleton's in court.

With my agency it would be a DQ.

The thing you have to remember is that Law Enforcement is very competive.

You are not the only one who's going to have a degree, good work experience, and letters of recommendation. Many others will have military service with honerable discharge as well.

The difference between them and you? No drug use ever.
    Wrong door, buddy

No chance here. And next time use the search function first. Your question is answered a billion times in this forum.
Evenhand (Cop Movie): You can't be everybody's friend

There are two things I'm good in, the second is arresting people

I'm looking for Drug/Narcotic Unit patches together with DUI/DWI unit patches for a frame in our Anti-Drug-Team bureau

Also looking for Massachusetts Police and US Capitol City PD patches now!
