What should I do?

Hello all, My name is Eduardo im from California and am trying to join the LAPD. Here is the situation, I had my Background Investigation Interview on January of last year, I forgot to mention one minor traffic ticket that I had to my backgound investigator and she told me that not mentioning it was grounds for disqualification, after the interview was over she told me to get the H6 (driving record) to her and that I was going to receive a letter through the mail saying if i can continue with the hiring process. My question is, it's been since January since this and I haven't received any letter or call and I have gotten that H6 form to her because I'm waiting for the letter to see if I can continue... What is the best thing to do in this situation? Am I out because of the ticket?

I never cease to be amazed at the number of individuals who turn to anonymous people on the Internet to get answers to things like that.

You really need to work on your common sense skills if you are going to be a cop. You're trying to start a career in LE and it never crossed your mind to just call your BI and straighten this out?

I bet if he found out you came here first, he would definitely rethink your application and not because of the traffic ticket.

Reapply and do not leave anything out. I would think that one year of not hearing from you, the LAPD has dropped you from its list of prospective candidates.

When you are directed to do something during the application, interview, background and training process, do it!

Procrastination will lead to disqualification!

Yes although my department may be in trouble. A few years ago we hired "The Hulk" as a reserve deputy. We have failed to hire a female hulk. As an equal opportunity agency, I would think it's only fair to hire a female hulk.
