Debit card was missing and my jacket

I couple of days ago my debit card was lost and i have no idea where it was. So i reported it lost. A couple days later one of the people on my Apt. complex is walking around in a jacket i lost the same day i lost my debit card. My fiancee is bad at locking the door when she goes and takes our dog for a walk or when she is in the house. This guy the last month has been askin for money alot for gas and maken excuses for not having money for anything. Is there anyway i can get a cop to look in his apt for my debit card or is there anyway i can set him up to get caught in my apt. redhanded? Legaly? Might i also add the jacket is 7 years old and i haven't seen one like it made for a long time.

    No.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

Report it? Never had this ever happen. So a bit confused. Say if i had a camera in my house catching him in the act? Is that not legal?

Catch him in the act doing what? The hokie pokie? Be more specific on what you plan to do.

Its not legal even to go in someones house even isnt it? Then i report the video to the police? I get my items back and hes in Jail.

You probably wanna call the police department that's gonna respond and take the report, though. 9 times out of 10 they'll tell you not to do that. They also won't be there when he gets out of jail and comes to find you for some "payback" for setting him up.

You pickin' up what I'm puttin' down?

How long would he be sent to jail if he stole the card and used it?

You'll find this hard to believe, but not every jurisdiction has the same sentencing guidelines.

You have to figure that out on your own.

    Here's a clue:

Don't send them a text, because you will have to convince them otherwise if you do.

What do you have in your apartment that you would be willing to lose or have ruined, or lose the virtual use of for a year or more while the case runs its gamut thru various and sundry Bond hearings, Bond reduction hearings, Court and is in the Evidence Locker growing mold, decomposing and losing its value ?

    He won't be taking that.

Is it really too hard to type out the word "see" instead of "c ?" It's only two more letters.

But you already said you reported it lost, so how would anyone use it, even you, if you found it?

I mean, we're getting killed for these people and they don't even appreciate it. They think it's a big joke.
