I was under the impression that only police and other people like that were aloud to get that kind of information. Is this illegal if they do have my address? No. Or is this even possible? Yes. There are many websites and software that can track IP addresses. The headers in your emails also contain routing information. Can I take legal action if someone has gone as far as to get my home address from my ip address? No. I would just like to know what I can do just in case there is someone out there with my address. Be cautious and vigilant.
Addresses are not protected information. If this person hasn't done anything that's a violation (harassment, stalking, threatening, etc), there's nothing to be done. If any of the above occur, notify your local police and press charges.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.
"Wrong door, buddy!"
Let no man's ghost say my training failed him.
