    New NYPD Policy on Supplements

I was told about this today at work and read it on the NY Post. Does anyone know about this new policy on supplements? Where I work at they never showed us any memo in regards and as per the report on the Post it says the NYPD warned its members not to get any nutritional supplements online or over the counter, so my question is if this means stuff like creatine and whey protein?
Well, I hope someone can help me get out of the doubt. Thanks in advance

Whey protein will not raise your testosterone level, other supplements may though.

You are a member of a the NYPD?

I mean, we're getting killed for these people and they don't even appreciate it. They think it's a big joke.

I'm still waiting for the memo on the new traffic vests. Waste of money. Ask the D.O. if they know where you can obtain a copy of that list.

I am working on it for him...he has yet to give me the partial tax # I need. Once he gives me that and I check it, he will be good to go!

You need to find out exactly what they are testing for. Usually it's testosterone. Creatine will not show up in urine unless you are taking like 30-40g a day, then your body will excrete creatine metabolites in urine. But your body will do the same with everything. If you are eating an ungodly amount of protein, your body will excrete protein metabolites (ketones) in your urine. But most places are only testing for a) testosterone and b) an amount set over a threshold limit. Some natural products, like nettle, will arguably elevate natural test production, while other supps will also help inhibit estrogen production. Vitamins, creatine, NO products should be fine.

When in doubt, call your medical section and ask them directly.

I finally got the list with the banned supplements. It names 21 supplements that are banned and any other product contaning those "substances" are also prohibited. They don't want any member of the NYPD to buy supplements that claim to or can increase testosterone levels...
I'm not confused anymore and can finally get my protein and creatine/nitric oxide supplements.
