I live in an apartment building with a parking lot in the back, off an alley. I keep my car parked there because, well, I have no where else to park it. Starting about a month ago there have been several incidents and I am not sure what to do about them.
I have a '98 honda civic.
I always lock it, but one day I went down to get my car and go to school and noticed that it was unlocked. After looking inside I realized it had been broken into. Everything in my glovebox, center box, side pockets, etc. had been rummaged through and dumped on the seats/ground. I didn't have much valuables in it, though he or she did take an old cellphone of mine, but I believe that is it. It didn't appear that they even tried to take my deck.
A few weeks after that I had almost forgotten, my car had been in the shop. One morning I go down to my car and see that my drivers side mirror had been ripped off. It was left on the ground next to the car though. If my gf's car hadn't been parked right next to it I would have assumed a car knocked it off.
Since then there has been several keyings and lewd drawings.
I don't know what to do about it and I no longer feel safe parking in the only place I can! My landlords are jerks so I haven't bothered calling them. And I cannot imagine what the police would do about such things, I assume this is rather small fish to them.
HELP!??
