Could do with some advice regarding child porn in a forum

In regards to the "Moderator suspect" theory: If it's actually someone that has hacked the site, they will have access to all levels of the site and may have seen/read your post.

Most idiots that pull these type of acts, feed off of the reaction/chaos they receive. As suggested already, I would find a new forum to avoid these issues.

Just to add some background info.

Most site owners today, are in it for the advertising endorsements in hopes to receive some sort of pay out. They generally put out multiple websites with a shotgun pattern of themes or events that are built off the same, easy to bi-pass, .php prefab site.

This leads to moderators owning more forums/websites than they can actively moderate and of course less knowledgeable moderators than young d-bag hacker attempting to takeover a site.

I do not have experience in actively pursing computer crimes from a law enforcement stance, but I used to own/operate websites prior to becoming an LEO. I can tell you a knowledgeable owner can do more to someone attempting to hack/mettle their site than law enforcement.

The AFP will handle this especially if there are international connections. State police only have jurisdiction where a suspect is in their state but also are able to work with international agencies as well as the AFP. Queensland Police have a very good child exploitation unit that has excellent international connections, for example. Anyway, try the AFP first.

If you want to speak to someone rather than do it online then you might want to check the AFP in your capital city.
