Ok, Issue:
My FOID card expired Nov 1, 2009. I was sent the renewal form, all that jazz, sent it in, they've cashed my check & now im still waiting for the card.
IL Deer Season starts tomorrow, and I still havent gotten my FOID card, over a month after they cashed my check. I've tried calling the FOID office, and it's always either a 20-30min wait, or its just a plain busy signal.
Soo I'm looking for some IL LEO's for answers ( i know theres an ISP or two on here )
Is there any "grace" period (30day?) on a FOID in any way?
Can I still possess a firearm under supervision of a FOID holder (im 25)?
Since mine has apparently been processed, check cashed, could they run my name and see that i have an active FOID? Can I even possess ammo, or is the FOID only to purchase ammo?

I got my answer via phone with a LEO. Looks like my FOID is valid, and in transit.
