Angry Right lane cut-off and what to do?

Have you every been waiting at the front line at a signal for the light to turn green and then someone from the right turn lane cuts you off? Well what if the light turns green and that person cuts you off, but then you hit them as they merge into your lane, who's fault would it be?

What if they started to claim you had enough time to stop and let them go, but really you didn't, and on top of that their passengers claim the same thing. What do you do? And did I mention they're in a Mercedes which means of course they can afford the best Lawyers.

So how can you defend yourself?

Another question is what if you did manger to miss them and they sped off. Can an officer do anything, or is it no harm no foul?

lol and on top of that if they did get pulled over as an officer saw the ordeal what kind of punishment or fines would they encounter?

    Thanks

Well what if the light turns green and that person cuts you off, but then you hit them as they merge into your lane, who's fault would it be? It is a violation of your right of way and the other party is at fault!

What if they started to claim you had enough time to stop and let them go, but really you didn't, and on top of that their passengers claim the same thing. It makes no difference. If someone changes lanes, they MUST yield to the vehicle(s) that already occupy the space. A turn signal does not give one the right of way. What do you do? What did you do? And did I mention they're in a Mercedes which means of course they can afford the best Lawyers. No! What does it matter what type of vehicle they drive? The laws are specific in their content.

So how can you defend yourself? In what, a fight?

Another question is what if you did manger(the word is MANAGE) to miss them and they sped off. Can an officer do anything,NO! or is it no harm no foul? YES!

lol and on top of that if they did get pulled over as an officer saw the ordeal what kind of punishment or fines would they encounter? Unreasonalbe speculation would be inappropriate.

    Thanks

Thank you Bear for the reply and sorry for the messy and improper misspellings. However, when you're in a rush and aggravated you tend to sacrifice quality just to get your points across. I'm a little confused about the last answer you gave me though.

Do you mean unreasonable as in there was no law broken, so no citation could be issued.
If so, how come a citation could be issued for reckless driving, tailgating, and of the sort? I don’t mean to argue, but want to know why.

    Thanks again

It would all be dependant upon what the officer saw, the circumstances of the incident, the immediate dangers, circumstances, attitudes, etc. An officer is generally given four options to handle an observed traffic violations: Arrest, citation, fix-it-ticket, verbal warning. It all depends on the officer's perception, dedication, actions.

We cannot speculate what would happen based on your statement.
