I had an accident on the interstate. Actually it was a single car accident. my car skidded of the road and hit a tree. I was issued a ticket .
The officer told me to call at some number and told that they will let me know the amount. But when i went to the office they told that it was not a out of court settlement, but they made it an out of court settlement for me. When i went to pay the ticket i asked them if there was any waiver possible because that day it was rainy and the road was wet, something past by me in front of the car and i applied brake, so it skidded of the road. It was totally out of my control. They told me that they dont know why i was given a ticket for single car accident, but i should pay the ticket. So they changed it to a exception non moving ticket.
my question is what will be in my record? whether the non moving exception or the previous accident ticket? will i get any points for that? how will it effect my driving history ? Is it a serious thing?
