    help!!!!

    Hello,
I have a question about an issue I’m not sure what to do. First off children and youth are involved which I called. I have my son and my X has him some times over the weekend. He came home and said he smoked weed with his mom he is only 9. I talked with CYS and he had a drug test it came back negative but they do believe he may have smoked it with them but over the 3 or more weeks ago. If I call the cops what will happen? And would that be the best thing to do? Will it turn out to be a he said she said thing? What will they do if I call? Thanks for any advice

You know your ex better than anyone. Would he give marijuana to his son? Is your son having problems getting along with his Dad? Could he have smoked it somewhere else and that's why he came back positive?

It's certainly possible that it's true and if it is, it's a crime. But nothing is ever easy, if you're comfortable your son is telling the truth, contact the police. If not, maybe contact your ex and talk to him about it.

He must not have smoked much then. It doesn't take much at all to enter the blood and it stays there for about 30 days.

only a few times from what he said, and he has not been over there over night for at least a month. is it still a good idea to call the cops on this?

Up to you. If there is no proof, it would be really hard to make a case and it will probably have an effect on your relationship with your ex.

I'd contact a lawyer and maybe handle it through family court. Perhaps you can do something about visitation.

But again, you know all the nuances of what's going on. Stuff like this is never black and white and there will be long term repercussions, but you need to protect your son too.... Sorry I can't be more help.
