Hey, Just wanted to know what you think about the law in oregon related to having to have a warrant now to obtain a blood alcohol level. I couldn't believe when I heard it. Has it really come to that? The drunks have rights now? I don't understand why such a law could even be considered! Now what?

Yeah, the Court of Appeals just made that ruling, but the state supreme court overrules them all the time. That court comes up with some strange ideas.

For those that don't know, our goofy court just ruled that police now have to get search warrants to obtain BAC, even with a breath test.

If nothing else, judges are going to get sick and tired of being called every few hours (even rotating through them all) to get a warrant.

I went to the newspaper's website and they don't even have a link to the story that appeared yesterday. The rest of the news media didn't bother with it, I guess. I can't find it there either.
