Question about department shrinks.

I am going through a background for a pd and have to talk to their shrink for part of the screening. He seems like he is trying to get me to get angry or crack under the pressure of his questions, is that normal?

Are you still in the middle of your meeting? Wow, you've failed if so.

Probably. As I recall, mine spent a lot of time trying to get me to over react. Sorta like Uncontested did when he flunked....

I remember the psych talking asking me about my ex and then telling me that I was covering something up that "that's not what I want to hear". I just told him "well, sorry to hear that, not much more I can tell you". He wanted to see if I would get emotional but I really couldn't have given two craps about my ex so there was no emotion involved in the conversation.

Just stick to the truth and you shouldn't have any issues.

Mine kept ragging me about using drugs while in Vietnam. He said several times that he never met anyone who served there that didn't. I just kept smiling and told him that he has now..... I kept it pretty lighthearted to the point that after I left I wondered if he thought me too flippant. Apparently not, they hired me.

I think he was probably nuts, his wife was at any rate. I got a call to her house about 7 years later, shortly after they separated (she told me who he was) on a burglary. She invited me back after work for "further investigation". She was good looking, but I declined....

Yeah the guy seems a bit off to me. Asked me about my anger issues and I said what anger issues. He tried telling me I had some when he has only seen me for like 5 minutes at a time.
