Is it 'normal' to have to come back for another CVSA? ('Lie detector')

Did you even blow up 1/4 as much as you just did hear. Because if you did, I guarentee you that is why you just got punted. The polygraph is a tool of interogation. It's is routine that they will come back in and say you show deceptive just to see if you will reveal anything else. If you blow up and go off on them, you got booted for you personality and how you deal with stress, not the polygraph.

Yeah, it's a mind game to get you to reveal the secerets that even you own parents don't know. The machine means nothing, it's all about attitude and the person doing the interrogation.

No I didn't blow up, they just told me 'okay everything looks good' and said to call him later in the day. I called when they told me to and they tell me I was a liar and being deceptive and that they won't be considering me further. I was just in shock I didn't even know what to say because I know I've never even gotten a ticket in my life, I asked him can't they just look at court records to show that I've never been arrested and he just ignored the question.

I blew up here because I still can't believe this BS and how much I'm screwed now that I've been branded a liar by a computer program.

If you put all your eggs in one basket then shame on you. Apply to other departments and see what happens. Acting like a 5 year old whose toy was just taken away is not a constructive way to move on.

Its ok to be a little upset but have your little pity party, wrap it up then get back on the horse.

I have applied to other departments, but now I have to tell them "oh yeah I failed their CVSA" whenever I finally get interviewed and thats instantly going to make them have a preconceived notion about me being a liar.

It may but if you can explain what happened or there investigation yeilds different results then so be it. If oyu didnt lie and have nothing to hide then continue on. Tantrums arent a good way to show your capably of doing this job.

I was an Infantry Grunt in the Corps and did my 4 years honorably and got out as an NCO, never even had a fucking page 11 entry.

I'm not some lowlife bum. I've never been arrested, or ticketed in my life. I've never used drugs, the worst I've ever done was underage fucking drinking. And now a computer program calls me a liar and now I'm going to get rubber stamped "Denied" on the rest of my applications and I'm not supposed to be pissed?

I was a Hall-Monitor in the 6th grade :D, and was denied for my first application into Law Enforcement because I didn't know the right people.

Hell, I got denied a job driving a truck when I was 18 because their "written" test said I was a thief. At the time, I wanted that Job like no other :rolleyes:

No, because you're still acting like a spoiled little kid. People get DQ'd all the time and they act more adult about it than you have. I wouldn't hire you. I don't want some guy in uniform going off because he didn't get his way. I suppose you're one of those guys who thinks life has to be fair.

I think the consensus on the board of police officers is you need to grow up and try again later.
