Quite contrary, I have stated it was cops, not civilians, that have told me there is a possibility. Not that they have participated in any criminal activity.

If a cop told you there was a possibility, they must work for a little bitty dept someplace where the mayor hires all their kinfolk first.

But what the hell, go for it. A BI will get a good laugh out of it.

The State of California prohibition on felons being Peace Officers not withstanding, I refer you to 18 USC 922g3 which bars you from possession of a firearm.
