Question for NYPD Officers

Hello, I was hoping you guys could give me some advice, I'd like to become a police officer with the NYPD, but I don't know when I should apply for the exam. Im 23 and I go to college, I only have 30 credits at the moment, I have never had a job, but I plan on joining the Army Reserves, and volunteering with NYPD Auxillary in the upcoming months. Should I wait until I get my bachelor's degree before I apply, also what would you recommend about my job history? Will the fact that I never had a job prevent me from getting hired? Im hoping that my future military service will compensate for that. Anyway thanks guys, I appreciate the time and help

What did you do from 18-23 if you've only achieved 30 credits, and never had a job?

You need 60 credits OR 2 years military to be hired. Up to you if you want to wait or take the test. The test is free, so you have nothing to lose. Military service would definitely help.
