    PA cop question

On July 8,9,11 i was contacted on aim messaging on my computer with threatening comments I turned it in to my local pd the officer told me a long list of charges she could file against the person I agreed and told her who the account belonged to, I seen the officer about a week later and asked her what was going on with the charges she said she talked to the guy and he claimed it wasn't him he didn't know who was on his account doing it,(on the aim message it said this is zack the owner of the accounts name is billy) I printed out aim terms of service and it says right in their the owner of the account is criminally responsible for any unlawful use of account no matter if it was the owner or someone else, she said she turned into the district attorney to let them handle it. Its been two months in my opinion i think the owner of the account should have been arrested for the charges because it was sent off his account but i would appreciate a law enforcement point of view other then my own local pd its been two months and still no charges.

First of all, it doesn't matter one bit what the "AIM terms of service" state...if we as police officers don't have enough PC and it can't be proved that he was using this "AIM account", it just isn't going to fly sorry.

"Its been two months in my opinion i think the owner of the account should have been arrested for the charges because it was sent off his account"

And second of all, it is very obvious from this comment that you don't care if he was the one using the account, you simply just want this subject under arrest. That just isn't going to happen. Besides, if I were the officer you came to, there is no way I would have filed anything to the DA.

Honestly, how hard is it to block somebody from AIM? Unreal...
