    Flags on records

This is a very awkward question, but I was wondering if someone could help me. If someone was flagged as a suicide risk on their record because of one isolated incident that happened years ago, does this ever expire/get removed from your record? Who gets to see it? Does it show up on a CORI or do LEO's only have access to this info. Can I/how can I access a copy of my record (not a criminal record)? Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much...

    Who flagged you as suicidal?

I'm not sure what record it was flagged on, but probably if you request it to the correct authority, it can be removed.

Who would be the correct authority? Does it have to be the officer that flagged me or can I go down to my local pd and request this? How many records are there/what types? I'm sorry for asking so many questions, but there's so little that I know about this.

If you were flagged that way for lets say an officer safety issue then that will not be removed.

I wasn't combative and wasn't posing a safety risk to anyone- no weapons or anything. I can't imagine I could have been flagged due to posing a potential risk to an officer/anyone else. I was very cooperative. I don't know if that helps.

Go to the flagging officer's dept and asked to talk to someone about the situation. You have the right to have something like that reviewed. If they don't remove it, they will explain why.
