Im just curious if I should be concerned or worried or report this...or If Im just being ridiculous

I live in an apartment complex, 27/F and I recently did my laundry in our laundry room at the complex...its in the complex in a separate building, and when I got back to my apt to fold my clothes, I realized ALL but 1 pair of my panties were stolen! There had to have been at least 10 pairs in there. I dont think it was a girl that took them either because they would have taken all my victoria secret sweat pants and the rest of my expensive clothing that I had in there.

I do remember seeing a sketchy guy in there when I pulled up to transfer the laundry from washer to dryer, and when I pulled up my car, he left....I didnt think anything of it....until now. I do know that my underwear made it INTO the dryer....I clearly remember looking and seeing it go in there, because I had dropped a pair on the way to dryer. I think its odd that like 10 pairs were taken....

Is this something that I should look out for? What does this mean when guys do this?? is this ever related to a sexual assualt or anything??

Probably not. Most "pantie collectors" get off on that alone and rarely escalate.

A young guy was recently arrested here in Oregon with literally thousands of pairs of women's underwear. The police did their best to tie him to other sex crimes and were unable. Collecting was his only fetish.

It's possible it could be nothing more that just some local weirdo. Stealing panties doesn't trigger or always precipitate a sexual assault. Makes notes of anything you can remember about that guy and his car. Make, model, color, license plate number, etc. Let hubby know what happened and maybe don't wash clothes by yourself for a bit.

You can always call the local law enforcement agency and speak with someone. Let 'em know what happened and what info you have to give. Often times people don't call at all, or they call and don't have specific info besides "he was acting weird."

Above all, don't be paranoid, just be "aware."

Yes, it never hurts to turn up the observations of your surroundings. Next time you see a sketchy character hanging around, go back to your place or to a friend's place. But not just in yur complex, and not just in regards to your lingerie. Always be aware of your surroundings, and listen to that little voice in the back of your mind.
