    Smoked Colored Lights on Cars

Hey guys, I have a question about whether smoked headlights are legal or not. I am in Tennessee and was thinking about getting some smoked color headlight and tailight covers for my car. It is not the ones that are black, just a smoke tint but wasn't sure if it as legal or not. I tried using the search funtion here but didn't see anything about the lighter colored ones. Thanks in advance for any info.

Lights have to be visible at certain distances and certain colors. If it satisfies that, its legal, if not, its not.

Not necessarily true, in my state there is a specific law stating that anything that is placed over the headlights, taillights or turn signals that reduce the light is illegal.
Excuse me Officer, I have a stupid Question. "No problem, I've got a stupid answer for you!"
