Good Day all,
If you get a traffic ticket outside the USA (Canada or any other place) will that show up on your driving record?

I doubt it. There's an agreement in the United States where States share motor vehicle and licensing information between them, but I don't believe that includes other countries.
One would have to query the specific country to garner any available information.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

Let no man's ghost say my training failed him.
When I drove thru Mexico to Panama back in 1980, I was told by my interpreter that if a Federale Cop stopped you and told you that you were speeding, you had to pay the bribe amount immediately.
In El Salvadore, we were required to have a 15 year old Soldier ride with us thru the whole Country.
In Nicaragua, we were forbidden to turn left off of the Pan American Highway. To do so would be a death sentence, since the Sandanista's would assume we were resupplying the Samoza's.
I doubt any of that would have gone against my driving record in the States...

If you don't pay a ticket in Germany and escape to the USA the next time you come back we will put you at the wall and shoot you. So your record on the DL will be a second class problem!

It depends on what state you live in! Under the Non-resident Violator Compact your failure to address a violation in Canada could become an issue. Here is some information:

Not just there... A good friend of mine's daughter and her husband went to Germany to buy a new BMW to bring back. While there, they drove to the Czech Republic where they were stopped by two policemen in a van. They were told they didn't have the necessary permits (they did) and they put them in the back of the van and "inventoried" their belongings prior to jailing them. Oddly enough, the fine just happened to coincide with the fine so they were "allowed" to pay it then and there and continue on.

LOL!
On that same trip, we shipped our vehicle from the Canal Zone to Guyaquil, Equador. When we caught up with it, they allowed us to sleep in the vehicle, but it took 3 days of waiting in line and paying bribes to shipping officials to get it out of the Shipping yard. Of course, when we got it back, we were minus 2 shortwave receivers, 1 of which had been bought in the (duty free)Canal Zone, along with our camp stove & who knows what else.
In Chile, it wasn't unusual to drive past a tour bus on the side of the road with every occupant proned out along the side of it, while their military hustled whatever they could. Near the border, they finally flagged us over at a checkpoint, stole some of our cans of baked beans before they let us go. We watched one truck leave half a load of rocking chairs behind.
...and don't EVER eat a steak in Argentina... ... it may not have been from a cow.

I don't go to Mexico. My last trip down there was when I was 16 and I ended up in jail in Agua Prieta. But that's for another time, like after I'm dead.....
