    Looking to Prepare!!!

I recently applied to an agency and was told I would hear back in 3-5 weeks. I am currently a law enforcement student and a week later I received a letter stating that I was selected to proceed further to testing both written and physical. If I pass I will move on to the interview process. What advice can anyone give me to keep preparing both mentally and physically. I have until October before my testing day and there is a free tutoring session 2 times throughout September and I have already signed up for that as well. What areas can I research to prepare for the test and I am positive I will pass the physical no problem I am just nervous about the written.
If anyone has any advice it will be more than appreciated.

Use the search function or peruse the section for Background Checks/Hiring Process. We also have a Physical Fitness section with a wealth of knowledge in there.

    Good luck.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

    "Wrong door, buddy!"

Let no man's ghost say my training failed him.

For one, don't drink and drive and blow a .23 right before the door opens for you - in fact, refrain from doing anything really stupid and/or getting into trouble.

Well I will be sure to check that stuff out and thank you for the advice. As for the drinking and stuff I can proudly say that I have only had one ticket and nothing else on my record. I only got it for going 65 in a 55 on my way to work and that was it. That would suck though to be that close and have that happen. Thanks for the advice though.

yeah whatever you do don't be like Cass. People named Cass should NEVER be considered ;)

Seriously, just keep on the straight and narrow and be PATIENT.

Yes, being patient is the key here. Let things happen as they happen. It may take a year from the time you first start testing until the time you find out the final outcome of the testing process. Don't start buggung your background investigator. Check in once every 3-4 weeks, but don't call them every other day :D And STAY AWAY FROM THE SHOW COPS!! It will drive you crazy as you are testing. Good luck, run, and practice proper grammar...start here and now. Periods and proper sentence structure are your friend.
