I thought about what I wrote in my posts before and I realized it was kinda dumb/inappropriate, especially for a place like here.

You guys are trying to PREVENT accidents and trying to save lives and here I am talking/bragging about how I’m just willing to throw mine away and risk other peoples lives just for entertainment and kicks.

Mcsap is right after all. I’ve been using the roads as a playground. And as far as acting like a child is concerned I guess you were right too.

I thought it only effected me and I could control my car well enough to at least steer it off the road if something happened, but yeah, I guess losing control means losing control and I really don’t know what could happen. I don’t want to get anybody hurt or killed.

I’m sorry for posting here like it’s all fun and games. It’s stupid and it’s disrespectful to all you officers who try to get people like me off the road. I didn’t realize I was doing it at first, but I guess I was pushing buttons when you were just giving well-meant advice.

I’m not disrespectful of the law and I thought as long as I stayed at or under the posted speed limit at all times it was OK. Not sure why not doing anything illegal is more important to me then not “legally” killing myself or others.

As far as the ticket is concerned I think I’ll just plead guilty. Pleading guilty to something I didn’t do (parking) seems just plain wrong/dishonest/mind-boggling to me so I’d rather take the stiffer penalty for something that I’m actually guilty of.

Yeah, I said it … I’m GUILTY of unsafe/reckless driving.

    Revisiting my first thread...

Tonight I have to be in traffic court for my driving like a racecar driver charge.

I initially plead not guilty by mail to buy myself more time and I have been trying to figure out what to do.

Still haven't quite made up my mind yet. The court clerk told me I'd be talking to the officer who issued the ticket first and we might agree on a lesser charge and the judge will then sign off on it. So I guess I'll just see how that goes and decide then......

I should be used to this by now, but I still get sick to my stomach when I have to go to court.

    That was quick and painless...

Right away the officer offered to downgrade it to a seat belt violation and....oh well...who am I to protest and insist on five points on my license? ;)

The judge set the fine at $25 and I thought "wow, that's cheap!" and then she added that there was a $85 mandatory state surcharge.

OK. I feel punished enough now, and I vow to never drive without my seat belt on again (something I've honestly NEVER done). ;) Oh yeah, and I'll slow down too.
