    backround checks?

ok, from what i understand, when the police do a backround check for a job, they go very thorough. they talk to alot of people about you, and try to get to know you from people that know you. but what if you really dont know alot of people? i have always kinda been a not super sociable guy. i dont have a million freinds, and i dont really open up to people i dont know that well. the only people that really know much about me is a few close freinds, the girls i've dated, and my family. besides that i really dont open up to many people. like througout high school i just hung with my close friends and girls i dated, and at my job i dont really talk to people i work with much, because i am there to work not make friends. i am not necessarily a shy person, like i have no problem confronting people or talking to people, but just very few people would be able to say much about me. would that be a problem when it came to a backround check for a police department?

Probably not. Unless you have some sort of an abnormal social disorder. Background investigators can generally find in most cases a significant number of people who know someone during the investigation process.

I was kinda in the same boat as you..I remember listing my references for the BI and I could only come up with 6 people that are close friends of mine, the same people that I've been friends with since 8th grade. Kinda stopped talking to everyone else after high school. I don't see it being a big problem for you unless what Charlie said..mental disorder or it's shown you can't work well with others, which is kind of important in LE. Keep in mind the BI will talk to old employers and old co workers about you as well as current ones and also other people not listed as references. They don't just take your friends word for it lol. Best of luck to you
