Okay, i have known this man for over two years and a half, trusted him and now hes harrassing and threatening me, hes been doing this for about 6 months now, wont stop calling although I've asked him to stop and leave me alone. All this was a frienship, i never promised anything, and i never lead him on, hes 52 yrs old and im only 27. I am married to an Army specialist. He threatens to call immigration on me or tell my husband all kinds of lies about me cheating with him which is complete bs. Yes, i was brought to the States at the age of 11 illegally, i had no say in this. IM now trying to do things right, we've turned in a petition to imigration and things look very promising. BUT, i got this nuissance of a man thinking that he can force me to have sex with him or else... I am afraid of going to the police due to the fact that i may be questioned about my status or someting, idk this is just my insecurity, I live in the State of Arkansas. I tried to record this man's harrassing calls but, my phone unfortunately doesnt have that feature, so all i have are witnesses, my sister, her husband and a best friend of mine that has asked him to leave me alone or else hes going to make him stop. I dont want anyone hurt here, I am a victim wether i said yes or wether i said no to him its just not right! Im sick of it and wanted to get a restraining order, but like i said im afraid i may get one too many questions from the cops. What so you suggest that i do? Thank you so much for you advise.

I doubt very much your local police would question you about your status in the U.S. Local PD dont/ wont enforce immigration law, it is not their job..and even if they did, you state you have a pending petition for you and you can't be ordered removed from the U.S. when your petition is pending a disposition. Don't worry about being deported, Citezinship and Immigration Services already knows who you are and everything about you, if they wanted you deported you would aready be. Put all that aside and think of it like this...would you rather be deported or killed? We can do nothing for you except state they obvious, which is go to the police NOW and handle this problem before it gets much worse..which it will. Your's and your family's safety is more important than anything else.

Okay, thank you so much, i figured that if immigration wanted to get me out they would of without needing someone to deport me. I just was very unsure. I will call the sheriffs office asap, in any case you are right and my family is more important. Thank you.
