    balisong in michigan

alright first off balisong is the art of spinning a 'butterfly knife' i know it sounds kind of dumb but its a hobby of mine....there is only one problem i have loads of butterfly knives, and i know they are legal to have in your house...but i need to know in monroe michigan (48161) is it legal to carry a 4" butterfly knife? i mean no harm.. and i even dulled the blade from clicking it shut so many times while doing tricks...i just dont quite understand if it is, its not double sided, longer than 4 inch blade, no spring assist, its not a stiletto, dagger, dirk or anything like that... sorry if this is confusing lol i know i am rambling but if anyone can help me out with the local law in Michigan that would be very helpful, I've read over the knife laws here many times...just i don't see how my balisongs could be illegal like some say.

Even if it is illegal, would that change the fact that you perform tricks with your knife in public?

i may not be the brightest but i know when to spin and when not to, and i don't plan on gathering a crowed around me to show off...i guess i stated the question wrong, i just don't want to have it in my pocket and get boned for it being illegal...given i have no record so no real reason (i don't spin near others (unless they do balisong themselves) pets, cars, glass, or anything i could mess up....unless its mine) its just if im spinning in my car or by myself i just dont want to be screwed over (id buy a fake-o-balisong (no blade just a slab of metal) but i feel like the cops would have the same reaction if its illegal

City, State, and Zip Code is NOT your state and municipal statutes - aka penal codes, criminal codes, etc
