    Need help in Court

You know what, I'm tired of this.
I come here looking for some kind of help and all I get is mocked.

Thank you so much for showing me that I can count on an officers help when I am scared and don't know what to do when I get in trouble with the law.
Instead of telling me in a nice way that they can't help me, they take advantage of this emotional girl and make her seem like an idiot because she is seeking some kind of comfort that she won't be going to jail if she can't pay the damn fine.

    So, thank you.

This is my first ticket and my first time to a court.

Is that from the "Beat a ticket" Forums? Or did some other snot nosed, overpriveledged know-nothing tell you that?

I'll allow you to write an admission of guilt and plea for the mercy of the Court. It will likely work more to your advantage than all of this "demanding".

I noticed you didn't claim to have been falsely stopped.

EVERY traffic case I have been to in the past 23 years has a standard of ....1. Me being there. 2. Me bringing all of the documents needed to show you are guilty. And I have missed ONE court date in 23 years.

How would I word that letter? Good question on the " ask-a-lawyer forum. To whom would I give it to and when? Nobody here. Do I have to know the names of these documents or is stating 'essential documents' enough? Can we get down to the serious side of this ? Was the officer wearing his hat ???

I am really confused on what to do, I'm only 18 and I still live with my parents and have no job. Get a job , pay the ticket and get on with your life. Why not go in the military ? Steady employment and no more living under your parents rules !!

I need help to get out of this ticket.
You won't get it here , we want you to be found guilty.

Start off the letter with "Yo, yo, yo, yo Dog, waddup??" Then accuse him of being a bad cop because he didn't find your stash and couldn't tell you were drunk at the time he stopped you.

Then again, you could explain to the judge you're unemployed and ask if they have a diversion program.

There is no discovery in traffic court in NY. I love these internet lawyers.

    Request Trial by Court

Just state that you want to contest the ticket and have a trial by court. There are no documents, just the officer's testimony. It will be a good learning experience for you but it will also cost you more in court fees. Here's an alternative, think of all those times you were speeding, rolled through stop signs, etc. and didn't get caught. Now google the phrase "absolute liability."

    Just pay the ticket.

If you have someone, even a cop, following too closely then just pull over and let them pass (That's what the Judge will tell you if you come up with that silly story).
Life is a gift from God. What you do with it is your gift to God.

Concerned about Officer Safety, liability, citizen beefs? Use the best weapon you have. Be Nice. It's tough to attack, sue or complain about someone you like.

FYI: It was night time and I couldn't tell it was a cop car behind me until the lights began flashing after the cop was tailgating me and provoked me into speeding to get him off my ***.

I was just recently cited a ticket for speeding.

So you were entrapped? The cop FORCED you to speed?

Defensive driving would teach that you that when tailgated, you're supposed to slow down (coast), and pull to the side and let them pass. Not speed up.
