Going to jail for a parking ticket

    Hello.

I got a parking ticket two days ago but I wonder if I can serve in jail for the ticket. I know that you can get a warrant if you don't pay it but thats not what I wanna do. I want to ask the judge if I can go to jail for a couple of days or weeks for the ticket... I always wanted to experience jail but I don't want to commit any crimes and I think itd be a good oppertunity.

But one thing that I'm worried is that I want to become a police officer after I graduate from university. I wonder if going to jail for a parking ticket can affect my career in law enforcement. I have no crime record at all. I will get a degree in science. Can it affect my career if I choose to go to jail for the ticket? It's not even a crime at all.. Does it still matter?

I wonder if it is possible to go to jail for the ticket and if it can affect my career. Thank you

Absolutely you can become an LEO!!! In Florida, I believe they call it a "Baker Act"!

I could be wrong though, since I don't know much!

You will not be able to convince a judge to send you to jail for a parking ticket.

Jail is no fun. You don't want to spend time there, I promise you. If you want to be an LEO, it would not be beneficial to have served time in jail.

Pick one side of the bars and stick with it.

What if I tell the judge I have no money?

Also, Conan is off the air until June

    I wouldn't worry about becoming a LEO.

You obviously won't pass the psychological exam!
Excuse me Officer, I have a stupid Question. "No problem, I've got a stupid answer for you!"

This is by far the dumbest post I've read on this site, and I think most would agree that that is saying a LOT. If that's really your attitude, don't even bother applying to become a cop, you'll just waste time and resources for more serious applicants.

Maybe he would, because then he could find out if it hurt or not. ;)
