    was this right?

My husband was detained after being charged with no insurance and a dor andregistration on a minibike on public roads. He was just coasting on the bike and the cops were about a block away when they saw him. They stopped him and accused him of having a stolen bike, being on probation and driving under the influence where they gave him a breath test, (.000) and putting him in jail. He said that he was working on the bike getting it ready to sell for a rototiller for our business and was pushing it to the guy that was interested in trading it while coasting it. He has had his license revoked prior for dwi 7 years ago and has not driven since where he will get it back in 2012. He has not been driving anything since and I have been doing all of the driving. He does not own a vehicle. The policeman that stopped him has been charged with aggressive behavior on others by shooting them and acted as if he would shoot my husband as well. They have held the minibike to run the numbers to see if it WAS stolen but since then have found out it wasn't. He has court on May 21st and I feel that it should be dismissed due to the fact that it wasn't even running. Can this be so? Please let me know anything that can be input from you. Thankyou Holly

You were not there, so you have no idea what happened. You only know that which you were told. We were not there either, and the person it happened to is not even here for us to ask questions.

We cannot help you. Your husband needs an attorney, not a cop on the internet.

This BS is all I will address:

I guess the neighborhood rumour mill in your part of the Ghetto is going into Overdrive.

I can assure you that, despite all of the hearsay that your neighbors are spewing as fact, if a Cop acted overly aggressive and actually shot someone without justification, he would no longer be employed and would in fact either be in Prison, or on Trial... faster than a civilian would.

Your Husband has apparently added to the hysteria by claiming that he thought he was going to be shot as well... unless you just added that for the additional drama and attention.

Despit the popular misconception and television bubblegum shows designed for 12 year olds, Cops don't go to work wondering who they can get away with shooting today.

The more I read some of these claims, the more I believe that Ann Coulter is right in that people love to claim Victimhood, even the ones who have no right to it.

Just coasting? You sure? You were there? And does "coasting" still count as operating a vehicle on a roadway? Yes it does to save you the time to look.

Again, you weren't there so you don't know what actually happened.

Obviously he has been driving or else we wouldn't be reading this post.

As you are now aware, a minibike is a vehicle.

This is one of the more retarded sentences I've seen posted on this forum.

Get a lawyer. You have left out and twisted most of the facts involved in this case. If your lovely husband was operating a vehicle on a public roadway he was appropriately charged. The fact that he was booked into jail leads me to believe that there was a lot more that happened on the roadside than what you posted here.

So he recieved a 10 year OL suspension for a DWI? Or are you leaving something out? I'm guessing the latter which says a lot about the rest of your post.
