I was burglarized!!!

I am currently living at a dorm at my college. It's not your typical dorm room, it is set up like an apartment. Well two nights ago while me and my roommates were sleeping someone came in and took my xbox 360 and a bunch of games. Approximately 700 bucks worth of stuff. We woke up the next morning and were on our way to the police academy when my roommate asked me if I moved the 360, and that is when we came to realize that someone came in and stole it. So we called the police right away. We new this wasn't random and we had a very good idea who stole. My roommate said he heard 2 people that night around 1 am and thought it was me and someone else so he didn't come out to check. But there was only one guy that new we had a 360 in our room. And he comes over all the time to play. He is the only guy that would come into our room unannounced. So we believe that he came over that night and when he came in and saw everyone asleep he decided to take it. This guy has been living at the dorms illegally. Hes been staying with his friend and they are drug dealers and his friend has been arrested before for stealing.
We told the officers about this and they went over and questioned them but nothing came about. After that my friend talked to these guys and they didn't seem pissed at all that they we accused them of stealing. They seemed like everything was all "cool" my friend said. We even new that they might have had drugs in there and we had the police come over and they were not at all pissed. This seemed very strange to me because a normal innocent person would probably be upset and ask why we accused them and put them at risk for getting caught with drugs.
This kid is still staying there even though he is not allowed to be. And some of our friends said these two guys are notorious for stealing. I don't the serial number because I was stupid and never wrote it down. But I do have xbox live so I have been monitoring it to see if they have gone on. We are pretty sure they still have it over there but we don't know what to do. I know it's him but I don't think I have any hard evidence. Police did get a print but they said that they didn't think it was good enough.
Do you guys see anything that I can do?

Geez thanks alot for the advice. I did not know any of this about them. I didnt hang out with them my roommate did. They weren't friends but they played each other in games every now and then.

His advice is better than what I was going to tell you.... Write it out in the format that you posted here, then call the Real Police, not surf for Real Police on the internet. You seem to have this rash of crimes in your dorms all figured out. Tell them where they messed up. How are they supposed to improve without being told they made a mistake? I am sure that they will appreciate the kind and thoughtful help;)

Seriously dude, choose a better set of folks to associate with. You associate with supposed dirtbags, apparently only on the periphery, yet seem shocked when their lifestyle spills onto yours. And somewhere in your post, you mention a police academy??? Attending? Or just walking past it to get somewhere else? Because if you are attending a police academy, you really need to find a better group to hang out with.....:rolleyes:

I have already called the police. They do not know about the drug dealing that they are involved in. But they talked to them. I no it was them and they still got it over there. I do not associate with them. my roommate does. I might talk to them when they come over ever now and then to play games in the living room with my friend.

Well I am asking for advice. I don't know if I should go back to the police, but all I could tell them is about the drug dealing they are doing and what they already know. I was just wondering if there was any more advice you could give me because I am almost positive they still got my stolen property over in there room or one of the other guys on there team.

Something just dawned on me. I remember earlier today a guy was telling me about how he had over 5,000 dollars worth of stuff stolen from him about a month or so ago. And this guy also lives right next door to them. I also remember the officer telling me that there has been a string of burglaries at the dorm. I think that these guys could very well be behind all this crime. I am going to go down to the station first thing in the morning, something isn't right over there. Hopefully I have enough info to get something done. Ill show them to mess with the police academy kids!

We do not get to pick our roommates. I moved there from out of state they just put me where ever they wanted.
