No one can answer that from here. We have no ideas to what turnover looks like, hiring practices, etc for the town in question. Not all agencies reuire a degree,so we can't answer that, either. Contact your agency's hiring personnel.

    2. If I decide to learn Spanish how much effect would that have on me getting hired.

Useful on the job, especially on the border. Acts as a plus over someone with identical record to you. Who knows what a small town looks for or if Spanish is even useful where you are.

    3. The only thing bad I can remember doing is stealing small candy from my job a couple years back, I regret doing it. That is the only bad thing I have ever done. I have never smoked, or used drugs. In my whole life, I would say I have drank less than a gallon of liquor. Will this effect me getting hired? (lie detector test) This is been eating at me for a while.

Did you reimburse your employer? Not likely to keep you from being hired if this is, in fact, all you have done. Don't lie and you won't have to sweat the poly.

Thanks for your help in advance.

    1) Required or not a college degree will help. Many will say don't waste your time on a CJ degree but I believe it's better to have a CJ degree with 4.0GPA then a Business degree with a 2.0GPA. Remember most departments only require a degree they don't care what field the degree is in.

    2) How much need is there for Spanish in your area? 2 years of Spanish at the local community college does not make you a Spanish speaker. You might learn enough to get by but that's about it.

    3) You know what you want to do. Now don't "F" it up by doing something stupid. Dope, DUI, ect...

What you have listed shouldn't effect your background check or lie detector test. As long as you answer honestly.

Keep your credit clean and stay employed. Like the degree it really dosen't matter what you do as long as you do something and your boss will give you a good recomendation. 3 years at one place looks better them 5 different jobs in that same 3 years.

College degree & Military is a BIG PLUS!!!
    Wrong door, buddy
