    Unhappy Fake Id???

I was recently pulled over for speeding and this is the first time i have ever been pulled over or been in trouble with the police. he asked for my license and i open my wallet and remember i have this piece of paper with my license printed on it with the date of birth changed!! the officer saw it i gave it up and he said to follow him to the police baracks so i do and he tells me that he is charging me with prohibition of license and it is a misdemenour and i will have to appear for court. I didnt want to use it illegeally i was just dumb and wanted to make it. how much trouble am i in and what am i looking at for punishment.

There is not a standard fine for being dumb in my state. It tends to vary on the degree of retardation.

You would have to provide what state you are in for anyone to answer your question accurately.

You are better off, however, inquiring with your local court to find out what the fine/punishment parameters are.

sounds like some of the kids at school several years ago printing money; but officer we weren't really going to try and spend it... Joey just "forgot", he didn't mean anything by it...:(

    It's the same in Connecticut.

And, your real license can be suspended until you turn 21.

In NY we have the option of the "altered license" summons or the "criminal possession forged instrument" felony.

I've charged the felony before, but it was in addition to some grand larceny charges.
