ok so im tryna get a job as a cook at a daycare but i have had a misdemeanor possesion charge which i think is expunged or sealed one or the other because it was my first offense and i satisfied all the requirements to get off. I juss wanted to know before i spend 25 dollars on a background check will this show up on there or not?

You have it expunged but it can still show up during a background check depending on how it's conducted. Depending on what the judge orders during the expungement proceeding your fingerprints may still be on file with the FBI and the report my still be on file with the Police Department. So without know the variables such as the state you live in, the local rule of court, database system of local law enforcement, the charge, who does the background and the extent of the background, you're not going to get a yes or no answer.

If in doubt, fall back on honesty.

Too many variables and unknowns. Simply because you satisfied " all of the requirements " doesn't mean it is GONE.

You can either ....

1. Lie and take your chances. :rolleyes:

2. Tell the truth and let the chips fall where they may.

And , have you now given up on using drugs or are you just between arrests ??
