    license for guard?

    in ohio, it it required that an employee of a business have a license to provide armed security at that business?

    Someone with Ohio specific knowledge will be along shortly, I'm sure.

    But I am aware of no state where you can show up at work with a gun and be "armed security." You almost 100% will need a license to do that.

    I dont know but even if it is ok , said employee should have some sort of FORMAL wepaons training. Otherwise we are talking the chances of a lawsuit would be great if anything happened, even if justified.

    Look what would happen to me if I failed to qaulify at the range due to a low score and than used my gun in a lawful manner.
