I don't recall cheating, per se, but then again, I'm not completely against it either. It's just my philosophy. If there's an opportunity, I'll take it.

There is no place for anyone with this attitude in Law Enforcement.

This is how you wind up in front of a jury, explaining how you planted dope on a bad guy "just once" because you just know he deserved it.

If you manage to lie your way through the background and psych portions of the process, you won't make it five years on the street, due to your "philosophy."

I don't think it will take 5 years. he's going to get caught while he's at the academy.

He'll be there taking that test and he won't know the answer and next thing you know the instructor will catch him looking over at the guy next to him

And with that , you have been officially pronounced UNFIT for the job of Law Enforcement. We as a profession are completely against it. And those who don't " recall" cheating and are willing to take advantage of any opportunity to cheat , belong in the back of a police car, not in the front.

Would you want to go to a doctor who had your "philosophy " in med school ?

Would you want to be flown in a plane by a pilot who used your " philosophy" to get his pilots license ?

Would you want your investment broker while taking your money used your " philosphy" ?

Would you want an electrician to work on your house who used your " philosophy" to learn his trade ?

see, the BASIC concept is your philosophical idea of what is right is skewed-flawed, not right...philosophy=the most basic beliefs, concepts and attitudes of an individual or group.

If your "philosophy" is that you don't have a problem going outside the rules to get the result that you want, then why do you find it a stretch to think that you would falsify a report, plant evidence, or lie under oath in court?

It's all the same thing. It's about integrity and honor, which you freely admitted you were without. I don't want to work with you, period.

Why wouldn't you lie? I mean, if you thought you would get away with it.

Don't think of it as "lying..."

Think of it as "cheating on your background."

If there's an opportunity, why not take it, after all... according to your "philosophy."
