    Police interrogation

    Hello,

Thank you for considering my inquiry.

In what sort of scenarios would the local police voluntarily request someone from another policing agency, like the FBI or Homeland Security, to interrogate a suspect?

What did you do to make you believe the FBI is going to show up?

    Never in my experience.

If we have someone in custody that another agency wants to talk to about a different event, then they are welcome to come on over, but we do all our own interviews.

My experience has always been that when there is an interrogation to be done and we are both there, the FBI is more than happy to just watch.

Believe it or not, almost every LEO learns to do pretty good interrogations. Short of admin slots (and even those, sometimes :D) pretty much every LEO job requires that skill.

Shows like "The Closer" are completely divorced from reality.
