    NYC: SeaGate Police ??

I came across the Seagate Police Department online, They have the same RMP's as NYPD, and even a link to the NYPD site on thier page. DOes anyone have info on them, I doubt they are affiliated with NYPD. Are they similiar to the CO-OP public saftey?

    Yep. Peace officer status.

They police the area at the far end of Surf Avenue in Coney Island. The bosses are ex-NYPD but the cops don't make much. Most are good guys, some are a little strange. They patrol and respond to radio runs in their area (they have our radios) and process all paperwork, arrests and summonses thru the 60 Pct.

Like the other quasi-police agencies in NYC, they mimic NYPD in regards to uniforms and vehicles. They even have detectives - what they do, I don't know.
