I am in receipt of your letters and warnings about various violations levied against me. I disagree with your concerns. I feel that I have been singled out unfairly as is evidenced by the fact that the violations of which you accuse me are allowed for other residents.

I regret that I have not been successful in attempts to reason with you. Further communication about these matters will be fruitless as we will simply not agree.

Therefore, I will comply with the HOA bylaws, rules and regulations. I have taken action to remedy any violations on my part. I will take not further action to comply with demands that I see as clearly being created out of thin air and not issuing from any regulation by which I am bound. Should you disagree with this, feel free to file a suit in a court of law against me. I will no longer answer your letters or demands outside of that venue.

I will no longer attempt to obtain petition signatures while on this property. Instead, I will exercise my first amendment rights by meeting with residents at another location if necessary to obtain those signatures. I will also only take photographs from a public place of the property so that I am in compliance with the law.

Then just stop answering them. Put the ball in their court. If they truly have a case, then they'll go to court. If they're picking on you and have no ground to stand on, then they won't.

Thank you SnapShawt. I have contacted an attorney and will be using most of your post. This is what my attorney suggested we write..

I have contacted the police department regarding the mention that the board would seek the police to take action and they assured me that they would not get involved. A few tweaks, but nothing major. To put this on an attorney letter head and have him sign off on it will cost me 250.00. This will cover the letter and the mailing and the attorneys time to talk with the HOA or their attorney when they get this letter.

I have an attorney that owes me a favor and I am using up some of my favor. I am saving the rest of my favor incase they try something.
