I doubt your off the hook, as a result of holidays and such there may be a backup with the scheduling of court. You need to call and follow up.

No you are not. You admit speeding and getting caught for it and yet you try to use any means or excuse to get out of it.
To "take accountability for my actions" means to take responsibility for the things you have done, take your punishment, and not make the same mistakes again. What you are doing is being a little lying weasel who will try any method to skip having to pay for your lapse in judgement.

Problem is, if there is a court date and it was sent out and for some reason you didn't get it, you're screwed. It's more than a fine you're facing, you could get your license suspended for failure to appear. That kind of suspension generally gets your tossed in the pokey if you're stopped.
It might have gotten lost in court and gone away, but I doubt it. I really don't care what you do, it's your ***, but if it were me, I'd contact the court.
