I am 20 and I recently decided to see a chiropractor after having lower back pain when doing certain exercises, squats to be specific. I was still able to perform them, it just hurt a little and I knew something wasn't right. Long story short, I had a pinched nerve in my lower back. After the chiropractor made some adjustments and gave me exercises to do, my back has improved greatly. Now I know that I would be able to pass a physical, a fitness test, an obstacle course, and the academy with no problems. Also, this doesn't, and never did affect me on a daily basis. I only had minor pain with one particular exercise. I understand you are not doctors, but does anyone think this would hinder my ability to get hired? If a dept. were to know that I went to chiropractor to prevent something from getting worse would they be concerned about future problems and possibly not hire me? Any thoughts would be appreciated! By the way my background is excellent and I am currently in college.
Thanks!
