Just wondering.. for mainly those who have done both military and Police. I was watching a video of a Police academy. It looked alot like Basic training for the military. For example: Formation. Yelling. Marching. Calling cadance. I was just wondering if it really is like going through basic agian? or do they just yell and be a **** the first day or so?

police departments are PARA military. Like military, but not military. Its similar, in some regards, and different in others.
