The way an Officer parks when pulling someone over...

    Hello again....

I have noticed recently that officers park their units at a somewhat 45 degree angle with 1/3 of the front end in the way of the car they pulled over.... Is this a Physics thing that if another vehicles driver is not paying attention & runs into the unit, the offending car will bounce to the left & away from the car that is pulled over, protecting the officer and car ?
