I saw "POP UNIT" on the back of a local (Nassau County PD) squad car parked at the local high school yesterday, and couldn't figure out what it is. Can anyone enlighten me?
Thanks,

Eunice: A .22? Oh you've gotta be kidding me. That's like bringing a knife to a gunfight.
Detective Greenly: Yeah, or bringing a really small gun... to a gunfight.

in my area the problem oriented policing unit is the street crimes unit. the only hugging of thugs that goes on there is when the thugs are hugging the pavement at gunpoint, it is a highly desired assignment in my area. how aggressive the unit is will be determined by the brass, but it can either be the guys who kick A-- and take names, or it can be the hug a thug squad, depends on the department's brass.
