Hi, I live in California and I recently got cited for Urinating in Public (in California). I have already paid the fine. Do I have a criminal record because of this? Can auto-insurance companies see that I've gotten a UIP?

If it is a criminal offense, you have a criminal record. You'd be amazed at what auto insurance companies can find out about you. At least now you know why they are laughing their a##es off at you.:D

Did you urinate from a moving vehicle?
Yes, you now have a criminal record. Your car insurance company is not likely to give a hoot about the charge. Anyone can see the fact that you now have a criminal record; it is a public record. Just like anyone can see I have a barking dog conviction.
