41 year old brother won't leave home?

My 41 year old brother recently moved in with us about a month ago he was supposed to find a job but never has. He contstantly argues with me and my mother and calls her names. All he does it sit in a lazyboy all day long and doesn't do anything. I help my mom all the time but he contributes nothing. Can the police force him to leave? My mom has told him numerous times to get out but he won't leave. And my mom is having chest pains and her nerves are frazzled and she isn't in the best of health. Thank you.

There's a lot of things I miss about working in patrol, but calls like this ain't one of them.

It depends on the state in which you reside and the laws if that state. She may have to evict him.

Unless it's your house, you don't do squat. If it is your house, then you would go through the eviction process or whatever your state requires.

Personally, this sounds like a job for Will Ferrell and John C. Reily. They have experience in just such a situation.:D:D

Call and find out as you have already learned that it matters what the jurisdictions is. My guess is one of mommys adult children should move out.
