    Question on job application

Hello, I'm applying for a position as a Detention Officer at a nearby city and on the application there is a section where I list all prior traffic violations and misdemeanors. One section asks what issuing agency the violation was from. So my question is what is the issuing agency if I was given a citation from a Maryland state trooper and also a county police officer? Would the issuing agency be Maryland state police or the actual court/county in which I was cited and had to go to court/pay fines to? Same question goes for the ticket I got from a county sheriff.

Also do I have to pay some kind of records fee to get the exact date of the violations from the court?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
On an unrelated note I'm starting criminal justice classes in a few weeks with the hopes of being an LEO when I graduate. Even though its gonna be awhile before it happens I'm still excited :D

Did an employee of the court issue your ticket, or a Trooper of the State Police and a Deputy of a Sheriffs Office?

That's the location, not the issuing agency.

If you were issued a citation from Maryland State Police, then put just that. As for the date, usually the month and year is good enough (but I could be wrong). Same thing if you were issued an additional citation by a County Sheriff's Dept. Put that dept along with month and year.

As for any kind of fee to get exact date(s), you would have to contact the issuing agencies and ask them.

    Good luck.

Ahem..... I was hoping that by asking questions we could guide young grasshopper to the answers, rather than spoon feeding them to him.. ;)

Umm, what are we talking about. :p

Heh I suppose you're right about your first post. Now that I think of it that way it all makes sense. Thanks for the replies though.

Uh, you mean to tell me were not supposed to be doing that? And here I thought that was just part of the daily duties...
